
Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice and film star born January 31 1937, and died on January 19, 2008. 1 Pleshette began her career in theatre and began appearing in films in the late 1950s. She later was featured in films of note like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 to 1978 Pleshette was a regular guest in various TV productions. She also appeared in Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who performed under her stage name of Geraldine Rivers.
